Recently a friend of mine said he walked into his parent's home where he saw his parents laboring over a bunch of papers. He could quickly tell they were confused…and stressed. When he asked for more info, he found out his parents were laboring over making the perfect decision about when they should take social security.

They were trying to answer the following questions.

• How will the age I take my benefits affect my monthly payout?

• How long will we live?

• Does it matter if my spouse makes more or less than me?

• Will I pay taxes on my social security?

If you Google the word Social Security, there are 4.6 billion results you can comb through. No wonder my friend's parents were stressed!
